Another Week Down – 31 Weeks Today! π
Well, where has the time gone? It feels like these weeks have flown by faster than the river after rain. I can’t believe I’m already at 31 weeks on the baby counter!
The past week has been a relaxing one at home, which has been just what I needed. I’ve spent so much time with Frank’s new puppy — getting lots of puppy cuddles has been a lifesaver for this emotional, pregnant lady. πΆπ
Speaking of emotions… when did your hormones really kick in during pregnancy? I’ve been doing pretty well so far, keeping things steady, but since I’ve been home the last two weeks, I’ve definitely noticed my emotions have heightened. When Frank’s pup got sick, I was so upset and struggled to hold back the tears. Thankfully she’s better now, but I still find myself anxious about everything she does!
On top of that, I’ve managed to catch a cold π€§. It’s mostly chesty with a cough and a runny nose. It hasn’t been too bad, but it’s been making sleep tricky — waking up coughing and feeling that strain on my belly isn’t exactly fun. The good news is that my cough is finally easing and is mostly in my sinuses now.
The sickness has also made eating a bit of a struggle, and I’ve been forcing myself to get meals down. On that note, I recently found out I failed my Glucose test in town almost three weeks ago. Since then, I’ve been checking my blood sugar levels four times a day, adjusting my diet, and things have been staying in range so far. Any tips or advice from other mamas with gestational diabetes would be much appreciated!
Other than that, not too much has happened this week. I’m getting ready for another trip to Townsville for growth scans, my OB appointment, and — what I’m most excited for — a massage! My hips have been a little sore lately, so I’m counting down the days.
So that’s my week in a nutshell — a mix of puppy cuddles, coughs, cravings, and counting down to some much-needed pampering. π
